Once Albert Einstein said,"Common
sense is the collection of prejudices acquired by age eighteen."
It is true about this earth,too. We,
humans, tend to think things, basing ourselves upon our common sense we acquired
when we were young. I don't say it is wrong, but it is not always correct. Here
is a story about our common sense we have.
Why the North Pole?
Why the South Pole?
Then I have found the West Pole and the
East Pole instead of the North Pole and South Pole. Then the complicated map of
the North Pole has gone away and there appears another simple map of the world.
The West Pole!
The East Pole!
All ancient civilizations and cultures are
lined up with simple angles, which was also a surprising to me.
This is the story about it.
どうして北極なのか。
どうして南極なのか。
どうして北極でなければならないのか。
どうして南極でなければならないのか。
アインシュタインは、こう言った。
「その人がもっている常識などというものは、１８歳までに身についた偏見のかたまりである」と。
つまりそれこそが、人間の発想。
だから北極は、つかいものにならなくなった。
で、ここで発想を大転換。
北極、南極のかわりに、西極、東極を考えた。
とたん、複雑怪奇な、謎の点と線が、ウソのようにすっきりした。
わかりやすくなった。
